For entertainment, we’ve brought in Mary Macaroni and Radio Disney. You can bet they’ll have the little ones singing and dancing in the streets. And after doubling the size of the Kids Area last year — more inflatables, more rides, more crafts – we’ve made it even better this year. We’ve added fencing around the area to make it more secure for the kids and more relaxing for parents. And speaking of relaxing, adults are also sure to appreciate the ice-cold beverage station we’ve situated next to the Kids Area. While the tots go crazy, Mom and Dad can kick back with a brew.
Keeping with the family-friendly theme, we’ve planned for all your little emergencies and remembered all the things you might have forgotten to schlep with your stroller. On the Go Chicago will be on site again with a diaper changing/family aid station. That’s right, a clean, dedicated space for changing diapers (no more alleys or sidewalks) plus extra amenities like sunscreen, band-aids, wipes and more.
It’s almost too much fun and excitement to pack into a single day. Good thing it’s a two-day fest! Don’t miss the Kids Area, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12, noon – 6 p.m., Roscoe and Hoyne.
