On Thursday, December 28, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a white male approximately 50 to 60 years of age and 6’ in height, entered Byline Bank at 3401 North Western Avenue and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed sum of cash, the suspect exited the bank and headed west on Roscoe Street. No weapon was displayed.
The suspect, seen in the photos below, was wearing a black hoodie under a black leather jacket, and a black watch cap. The teller also noted that the older man was wearing “therapeutic shoes.”
The same Byline Bank branch was previously robbed on May 16, 2017, by a white male, 6’2” in height, with blue eyes and tattoos on his neck and arms. The perpetrator in that robbery was arrested four days later by the FBI at a Motel 6 in Elk Grove Village.
In the recent incident, the FBI asks that anyone who may have seen the suspect, or any vehicle he may have entered, contact their Chicago Field Office at (312) 421-6700. The FBI is offering a $1,000 reward.
